Lagg Inaugural Release Red Wine Finish #3 50% 700ml

The third and final release in the series of inaugural whiskies from the young Lagg Distillery on the Isle of Arran. As with Batch 1 and 2, Batch 3 is double distilled from 50ppm peated Concerto malted barley. Batch 3 was matured in first-fill bourbon casks for two and a half years, before finishing in custom made rioja red wine Firkin casks for six months. Bottled at 50% ABV, without added colour or chill filtration, layers of red fruit join the earthy peat at the core of this single malt.

Aromas of a distant, damp bonfire, oaky vanilla, a touch of dusty cocoa powder.
Earthy peat is joined by cocoa nibs on the palate, hedgerow berries, and a touch of salted vanilla fudge.
The earthy peat lingers, with drizzles of salted caramel.
