Speyside Whisky
This rich bronze malt attains its spicy, treacly flavours from hogsheads made of Spanish Oak (Quercus Robur) sourced from Galicia and Asturias regions, more specifically, the Cantabrian Mountains which have a cooler climate and greater humidity. Before being filled, the wood is air-dried for around 18 months, opening up the oak for the GlenAllachie spirit to extract the cask character.
A non vintage from the Glenrothes distillery, selected by the Glenrothes Malt Master, John Ramsay. Select Reserve is a great value for money single malt, it exhibits the wonderful spicy house style. Lots of zesty rich fruit on the nose. Thick Seville marmalade, bubbling on a hot stove with notes of toasted cereals. The palate is silken smooth and utterly supple. Gentle barley whispers sweet nothings to the/its honey. A little vanilla and malt with toasted cereal and sumptuous oak. The finish is long with mocchaccino and barley sweetness.

Glenfiddich Fire & Cane is a bold fusion of smoky and sweet notes. By marrying peated whisky and malts matured in bourbon barrels, and then finishing in Latin rum casks, we created an exquisite whisky with campfire smokiness and toffee sweetness.
Fire & Cane is inspired by the early innovation of Glenfiddich Malt Master Brian Kinsman, who in 2003, first ran peated spirit through the Glenfiddich stills, birthing the concept of what would become the innovative Experimental Series.
As the fourth expression of the Experimental Series, Fire & Cane fuses the brand?s smoky whisky with malts that had been maturing side-by-side in bourbon casks, showcasing Glenfiddich?s sweet and fruity signature style. Taking it a step further, all of the whiskies were finished in Latin rum casks to produce a surprising overlay of added caramel toffee sweetness.
This Twelve Year Old Aberlour has been matured in two cask types. Traditional oak and Sherry oak casks. Especially selected every year, they are filled with whisky and quietly aged for a minimum of twelve years; then the casks are married together.
Traditional oak casks encourage the subtle character of Aberlour to develop, whilst Sherry oak casks add hints of ruby gold colour and a deep and rich flavour to the whisky. A perfectly balanced single malt with notes of fruits and spices.
Glenfarclas - 100% Oloroso sherry cask maturation. Gloriously smooth, yet with the depth and finish you would normally expect of a much older dram.
Nose: Tempting sherry-sweet malty tones combine with delicate aromas, releasing sublte spices. Warming the glass reveals honey, vanilla and pear drops.
Flavour: Delicately light, with a mouth-watering combination of maltiness, sherry sweetness. Hints of dried fruit, vanilla, cinnamon and cloves tempt the taste buds further.
Casg Annamh means 'rare cask' in Gaelic. This expression is significantly influenced by the finest quality, hand-selected Oloroso Sherry casks. The liquid is matured in three types of casks; European oak Sherry casks and two different types of American oak casks resulting in a rich and intense whisky.
The whisky that kicks off the Glenlivet range, one of the oldest and most reputable distilleries in Speyside. Named in honour of the distillery's founder, George Smith. It's classic Glenlivet, with a creamy and fruity character bolstered by the use of first-fill American oak to mature some of the whisky.

This latest release from the Knockdhu distillery has been selected from American oak and sherry casks after 18 years of maturation. This is a heavier dram, with the sherry casks bringing a dried fruit, chocolate and ripe orange flavour and aroma to the classic notes of vanilla, honey and summer fruits. One of our favourite whiskies - it's what we like to refer to as a "perfect allrounder". There's no doubt it's a sherried whisky - ageing for 12 years in refill sherry butts, but there's a delicious hint of peat in there too. It's the type of whisky that everyone enjoys.Colour: Vibrant amber gold.Nose:????Fresh and beautifully light, sherried fruit combined with a tempting spicy sweetness and a hint of sappy oak.?Palate:??Full bodied, delightful sherried fruit, with oak, a hint of peat and delicious sweet sensations.?FYI - this litre price is cheaper than the 700ml (which was $93 when we had it!)
