Matured predominantly in European and American sherry seasoned oak casks, Highland Park 10 Year Old is a vibrant and smooth single malt, bursting with flavours of crushed citrus fruit and lightly whipped vanilla cream. You?ll detect hints of heather honey in its aromatic peat smoke and just a trace of peppery spice. Delicious with pan-fried scallops wrapped in bacon or with a salted-honey vanilla cream parfait.
Chateau Montlabert is in the heart of St Emilion and produces some of its most outstanding red wines which have great longevity with their soft sweet warm fruit flavours and deep blackcurrant notes. Great concentration, fine smooth tannins and velvety richness all make this superb Right Bank red a wine to covet and collect.
A superlative vintage for Hawke's Bay Syrah - the outstanding 2020 harvest made beautifully balanced spicy reds with dark fruit flavours supported by spicy layers of nuance such as pepper, cardamon, vanilla and cloves. This is a stunning value wine offering depth, character and complexity at a fraction of the usual price for all three.
Buy it by the case as this vintage will cellar superbly for years to come.
European wine legislation has recognized it as a "traditional appellation" wine that can only be produced in Greece. Although in the past Retsina has been associated with bad oxidized and resin-exaggerated wines that many tourists have experienced during their holidays in Greece, today Retsina is a completely different delicate taste experience. Gaia decided to create a "new wave" or style around Retsina, RITINITIS NOBILIS, to redefine and reposition the quality context of their traditional wine.
Gaia produces Ritinitis Nobilis using modern winemaking technology and by adding a very carefully calculated amount of pine resin as fermenting "must" from selected grapes of the Roditis variety growing on the hills around Corinth in the Peloponnese. The result is an elegant and refreshing wine with a perfect balance between pine and grapes. Ritinitis Nobilis is a lovely partner for Greek dishes and Spanish tapas and is best enjoyed chilled to around 8?-10?C.
Matured for at least twenty-one years in a combination of four types of casks: bourbon barrels, virgin oak casks, Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and red wine casks. The whisky from these four woods has then been expertly blended together by our Master Blender to create a multi-faceted and superbly balanced malt, with each cask type adding unique notes to the taste experience: VANILLA, CHOCOLATE and RED FRUITS, developing from BENRIACH?S SIGNATURE SWEET BARLEY AND FRUIT-LADEN STYLE.

This is the 2011 vintage of Bruichladdich's Bere Barley single malt Scotch whisky, distilled using... Well, bere barley, of course. Bere is a heritage variety of barley that doesn't quite have the sizable yields as other varieties, and thus its popularity waned, but thanks to a resurrection mission by the Barony Mill and Orkney College, it's back in the game for whisky making! This whisky is made with bere barley from Orkney grown in 2010, and matured in first-fill American oak bourbon casks for 10 years before being bottled up at 50% ABV.
Nose: Orange and lime, with herby freshness bringing some savoury balance.
Palate: Toasted nuts, banana chips, milk chocolate, a splash of green apple acidity, sponge cake.
Finish: Hints of sea breeze stick around, with a touch of lemon.
Spicy, smooth, soft and silky; what more can we ask for in a gorgeous expression of cool climate Syrah? This exceptional wine is also incredibly modestly priced and is over flowing with delicious aromas and flavours of dark fruit held captive in a beautifully structured red wine from Gladstone winery, Johner Estate, in the central Wairarapa.
Holly is a gorgeous dark fruit expression of Pinot Noir made from a blend of grapes grown on top quality vineyard blocks at Matahiwi Estate in the northern Wairarapa. This vintage was a warm, dry one, which produced high quality grapes, which result in this beautifully balanced, full bodied, spicy and dark fruited Pinot Noir. Hand picked grapes and meticulous attention in the vineyard create great raw material which translates into a silky, gorgeous Wairarapa Pinot Noir to drink now.
Two Rivers Pinot Noir is one of the best from Marlborough - a bold but elegant expression of this country's most popular red grape. A wine with complex layers of flavour to keep the wine drinker on their toes; savoury earthy depths marry nicely to bright cherry notes and a lingering finish.
Great drinking.
