Ao is named after the deep blue of the majestic oceans that connect our world. It is a blended whisky with a sweet and vibrant nose, smooth on the palate, but with a multi-layered flavour that leads to a pleasingly smoky finish.
- Nose: Orange peel, banana and tropical vanilla cream.
- Palate: Mild spice, smooth and subdued with a touch of smoke.
- finish: Woody vanilla with lasting vanilla fruit.

- Palate: Orchard fruits of apple and pear, ripe banana, sliced red capsicums, toasted almonds.
- Finish: Light spice and mizunara oak.
Released in 1969, the Suntory Special Reserve Whisky was a 70th anniversary commemoration of Suntory whisky. This outstanding non-age statement whisky uses a blend of the finest single malts from the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries and matured in minazura oak. With age statements whisky not set to resume regular supply for some years, Suntory's blenders have risen to the challenge by creating a great assemblage from a restricted inventory. Enjoy straight or on the rocks.
The whisky that started it all from the oldest whisky distiller in Japan, Suntory White Blended Whisky has been setting the standard for almost a century. While the fragrance is subtle with hints of basil, green apple and honey, the flavours of grapefruit, green grapes, peppermint and thyme explode on the palate with a silky smoothness that ends off with a subtly sweet and spicy finish, giving hints of vanilla, oak, white pepper and ginger. The variety of flavours gives Suntory White Blended Whisky a versatility that can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, in a highball or as part of a cocktail.
There is nothing more suitable than a blended whisky to represent Nikka's way of whisky making. The asymmetry design of the bottle is inspired by the neck of a Kimono just as if the layers visualize all the passion and craftsmanship devoted in the history of Nikka. The honorable golden emblem engraved was designed by Masataka Taketsuru for his very first Nikka whisky bottle. Malty, soft and well-balanced, this expression portrays our gratitude to the heritage and our will to advance our tradition.www.nikka.com
Not strictly a Japanese whisky, Togouchi sources grain whiskies from Scotland and Canada and ages them in Japan.
This is a blend from Chugoku Jozo, who mature their whiskies in a tunnel rather than a warehouse. The temperature of the tunnel is always 15 degrees while the temperature of the cellar at the headquarters in Hatsukaichi city is a little higher than that. Nutty, spicy whisky with a lovely butterscotch mouth feel. On the palate it expresses vanilla sweetness and a fine peat iodine, with hazelnuts and chocolate on the finish. Almost feels like a whisky/bourbon hybrid.

Togouchi 9 Year Old Blended Japanese Whisky comes from the town of Togouchi and produced by Chugoku Jozo in underground tunnels. The Japanese brewery, Chugoku Jozo, is located near Hiroshima. They have been producing sake, liqueurs, and the traditional Japanese spirit shochu since 1918.
This whisky is rather intense and pleasant on the nose with dispersing aromas of yellow fruits. The palate has sweet spices, with the appearance of fruity flavors of citrus. In the end, peat and smoke come nicely together.
