Bowmore is a distillery that produces scotch whisky on the isle of Islay, an island of the Inner Hebrides. The distillery, which lies on the South Eastern shore of Loch Indaal, is one of the oldest in Scotland, and is said to have been established in 1779.
Produced at Islay's oldest distillery, this Bowmore is put in two different types of American oak casks, then married together to create a balance of flavours and romas of peat smoke, honeycomb and cinnamon spice. The smoke is light enough to let delicate flavours like vanilla and coconut through, with the distinctive Bowmore lime citrus come through in the finish.
