Absente is technically labeled a Vert (green in French) absinthe and derives its unique color and flavor from botanicals.; A method practiced and mastered by the French was to add regional herbs like sweet balm to the distilled liquor to introduce additional flavors, aromas as well as a green color to the finished liquid.; In order to truly replicate this traditional Artisanal method, we incorporate this legendary technique when producing Absente. We endeavour to dispatch orders the next business day, couriers can take 1 to 2 business days to deliver to non-rural addresses and 2 to 3 days to deliver to rural addresses.
Exceptions during December:
In December, please allow 3 business days for delivery. The last day for Christmas orders is Monday 18th December at 5 am for all South Island and all rural deliveries, and the Tuesday19th December at 10am for North Island non-rural deliveries. After these dates Regional Wines cannot guarantee delivery before 25th December.
