Zeelandt's first post cyclone brew is aptly titled ?Back on the Horse?, and there?s a deeply personal story behind the name. Despite our community suffering large losses, Zeelandt is in a position to help. With the generosity of our suppliers we are launching a new beer with all proceeds (after excise tax and freight) going to local organisations involved in the emergency response. We are It?s thanks to our suppliers that we can maximise the funds going back to the community.
Back on the Horse is a New Zealand IPA inspired by a small wooden horse that remained standing on our property after floodwaters receded. My father Les, built a wooden horse in the vege garden for my two children to play on. While the force of the floodwaters took away the sheds and cars that surrounded it, the horse remained. To me, this was a sign that the only way for us as a community to move on from this event was to get back on the horse.
All funds raised from the sale of this beer will go towards Bay View Volunteer Fire Brigade, Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter, and Bay View Community Charitable Trust.
A shout out goes to our suppliers:
- Tried & True - Label design
- Craft Brewing Co - Brewing
- Gladfield Malt - Barley
- NZ Hops - Hops and yeast
- Crafty Canners - Packaging
- Label & Litho - Label printing

We hope that beer drinkers will support Back on the Horse.

Hand picked grapes from the Junction Vineyard, inland in Hawke's Bay, were whole bunch pressed and fermented to retain just a little residual sugar with 12 to 14 grams of RS. Flavours of ripe citrus zest and bright acidity lead into a wine that tastes fruity, fresh and has a long finish.
This Riesling is usually available only at the Decibel wine store in Hawke?s Bay.
Rich and complex, this tour de force is a glorious blend of elegant Belgian-style quadruple ale and authentic Belgian kriek, its malty depth and gentle sweetness enhanced by sparkling carbonation and a serendipitous touch of cherry.
Pouring a mysterious chestnut brown, Three Philosophers is the perfect beer for leisurely sipping and quiet contemplation.
The meaning of life? Even if you don’t quite get there, this beer is sure to sweeten the journey.

Texels Blond is a delicious blond beer with a typical Texel twist thanks to the pure ingredients and the touch of sea fennel that we have added. This gives this beer an aromatic, mild spicy accent. No, Texels Blond cannot be compared with other blond beers. This is a blond beer of a different order

Unit price perThink Thick. Think Decadent. Think big salted caramel, rich belgian dark chocolate cake, nights-by-the-campfire vibes.
For it's second release, our brewers have thrown the frosting covered book at this decadent number - milk sugar, toasted marshmallows, golden syrup, cocoa nibs, vanilla, cake mix, and all combine in their baked-goods glory to give you the ultimate pastry experience, along with a hit of maple salt to provide a rounding salinity we've come to love here at One Drop and a kiss of smoked malts.
We've taken this crowd favourite and improved on it from last time. The nitro pour is gone allowing bigger bubbles to better lift the decadent aroma up into the smokey air. We've also doubled down on the pecan and mud cake aspects as we found them lacking last time around. All and all this is one decadent beast that has been spun right up to 11 for y'all.
Nights by the crackling fire need this creamy, roasty, dark chocolatey, and oh-so-caramelly brew of oozy chewy goodness.

Onskiis is a crystal-clear Japanese style lager infused with freshly juiced yuzu - a citrus found in the land of the rising sun that tastes like a hybrid of lemon, lime and grapefruit. Alongside additions of rice, pilsner malt and NZ hops from our mates at Freestyle Hops, expect a satiating, delicate flavour with a slight citrus zing, crisp clean finish and just a hint of sweetness.
If you enjoyed Fire Drop Rice Lager and Slip Dart Czech Style Pilsner dropped last year, Onskiis is the fresh Summer take with that yuzu knocking back some of the bitterness you would otherwise expect, making for a super easy drinking, crisp and refreshing lager made for long days by the pool.
